Tornado™ ARC250i LCD are heavy duty, fan cooled, IGBT based inverter controlled power sources meant for MMA / TIG (scratch-start) welding. Robust control panel protected against accidental impact. Extreme power to weight ratio in a most compact format. Rugged composite casing for durability in the roughest environments. For professional MMA welding with electrodes up to 4mm with a high duty cycle of 250 A at 60%. Ideal for operation in high ambient temperatures. The machine automatically provides operators with the optimal start and stop parameters based on the set welding current. A booster circuit provides additional voltage for superior cellulosic arc starts and welding performance.

TIG Welding

• The Tornado™ DC Arc machines are capable of performing TIG welding with precise current control. All you need is an optional TIG-torch with a gas valve, a gas regulator and a cylinder of gas. You can weld mild steel or stainless steel material with or without filler material.

VRD is short for Voltage Reduction Device

• VRD reduces the welding power source’s open circuit voltage (OCV) to a safe value until welding commences. OCV is the voltage measured across the terminals when not welding.
