Details
The water cooler performs a valuable and necessary function with any water-cooled welding equipment such as TIG torches, MIG guns, plasma welding or cutting torches and a variety of other water-cooler equipment. In the case of welding torches and guns the water cools the internal parts of the torch or gun increasing the capacity and component life. The water flow also cools the electrical power cable allowing the torch to operate at its rated capacity and extending the cable life.
Austweld developed the new technology water coolers used in the welding industry are a relatively simply and trouble free piece of equipment. Their function is to provide a constant supply of cooled water apparatus used in various welding and cutting processes. They are a closed loop system meaning that they are self-contained. They circulate water from a reservoir supply to the welding equipment via a pump and return the water to the reservoir.
These pumps are very efficient and are capable of delivering 6.5-9 liter of water per minute (GPM) depending of the pressure setting. The pressure setting is adjustable from 2 to 100PSI the higher the pressure, the lower the GPM flow. For normal welding equipment applications the pumps are set at 50PSI, which delivers approximately 8 liter per minute.
